Being unhoused is a serious condition that can affect an individual’s mental and physical health. It can be challenging for individuals who are experiencing it. In Livermore, California, a unique community has been created to help unhoused people get back on their feet. Goodness Village is a tiny home village that provides a supportive and empowering environment for people who are unhoused. We recently volunteered and donated at Goodness Village to make a positive impact. The lack of access to healthy living and sanitation resources deeply affect the overall wellness, and self dignity. Hence, together with some of the neighbors of the village, we packed over 200 hygiene bags for the unhoused communities across the TriValley area. We listened to their stories, toured the village to understand how the neighbors are doing their bit to make the village a happy place for all.
